Fascia Stretch Therapy

What is FST?

 Fascia Stretch Therapy (FST) is a unique, assisted stretching technique that focuses on improving flexibility, mobility, and overall movement by targeting the fascia—the connective tissue that surrounds muscles, joints, and organs. Unlike traditional static stretching, FST is dynamic and performed with the help of a trained practitioner, typically on a treatment table.

How does FST work?

🔹 A certified FST specialist moves your body through gentle, pain-free stretches while using traction, oscillation, and circumduction (circular movements) to release restrictions in the fascia. 

🔹 The process involves breathing techniques and gradual movement to promote relaxation and deeper stretch benefits. 

🔹 It works on multiple planes of motion, unlike static stretching, which only targets single muscle groups.

How do I prepare for my first FST session?

•Plan to arrive 10-15 minutes early to discuss your treatment plan

•You are fully dressed in anything loose and comfortable

•You lie on a soft table with low light

•Soft straps may be used to help stabilize as the practitioner stretches you
