I discovered my passion for fitness at a young age through USA Powerlifting as a drug-free athlete. My older sister, Katie, inspired me to start lifting weights. Throughout her high school career, Katie dropped nearly sixty pounds. She also became the first female athlete from our town to win an IPF World Powerlifting Championship. From there, my coach encouraged me to start lifting weights. I fell in love with the community and since then I've been hooked!
My dedication to the sport of powerlifting led me to many accomplishments which include becoming a four-time State, National, and International World Powerlifting Champion in the 48, 52, and 57 kilogram weight classes. My current best lifts include a 430 pound squat, 205 pound bench, and 405 pound deadlift. In addition to traveling the globe, I served as an outstanding role model to many athletes. My performance gave me the opportunity to be among the First-Class of female athletes who were inducted into the Wisconsin High School Powerlifting Association’s Hall of Fame. I also competed as an NPC Bikini Athlete and at the Arnold Sports Festival in the Pro-Deadlift Competition. Along with becoming a successful athlete I earned my USAPL State Referee, USAPL Club Coach, TRX, and Frederick Stretch Therapist Certifications. The sport then drew me to become a Certified Personal Trainer/CPR Certified through World Instructor Training Schools and ACE. Furthermore, I have many years of experience working with clients 1:1 along with group training as an Orangetheory Certified Coach. Outside of coaching, I spend most of my time working at an outpatient clinic as a Doctor of Physical Therapy providing direct patient care, including evaluation of musculoskeletal, neurological, and other physical problems.
I understand that adapting new fitness habits is difficult and often times fails. My goal is to change your view on fitness, so that it becomes apart of who you are and your lifestyle. I know what it's like to feel uncomfortable in my own skin. I strongly believe that if you practice healthy habits, you will be able to obtain a healthier, happier lifestyle. When the pandemic forced gyms to close Fierce & Fit was born. I wanted to be able to help more people who were struggling from the online space. I'm excited to learn and grow with you. My main goal is helping you reach your goals. So stay patient, be committed and let’s reach your fitness goals together.
Chris is a Strength and Conditioning coach who specializes in Sports Performance for multi-sport athletes. He began his journey as a competitive athlete in basketball which led him to finding a passion in helping individuals accomplish their athletic goals. Chris furthered his career in working with both sport specific and general populations in improving performance and health through the application of sports science. He graduated with his Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology (Human Fitness and Performance) at The University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) and continued his academia in a Master's of Sports Coaching at West Virginia University. Chris loves to utilize his knowledge and understanding of human development to make a positive impact on individuals' lives.
